Jean is a positive and energetic Individual with a life-long commitment to self-improvement and serving others.


Over the past two decades, Jean has served in several administrative roles in the public sector and for various nonprofit organizations. Prior to starting MLSC, Jean served as a Borough Liaison for Students in Temporary Housing in the Office of Safety and Youth Development for the New York City Department of Education.


In this capacity, he has worked to ensure students residing in the city’s homeless shelters, domestic violence centers, and/or living in other doubled-up situations have equal access to a quality education and the resources needed to thrive. Jean started off his career working for the Harlem based Institute for Youth Entrepreneurship as a counselor.


Shortly thereafter, he went on to become a youth case manager with Goodwill Industries of Greater NY & Northern NJ. Following his tenure at Goodwill, Jean transitioned into the classroom, where as a 5th grade teacher at PS 91.


Later, Jean would return to Goodwill as a program manager overseeing the administration of four programs serving youth participants during after and out of school.
